BOLYKI Egri Kékfrankos 2019

BOLYKI Egri Kékfrankos 2019

This vineyard selection Egri Kékfrankos from the Bolyki Winery is a dynamic powerhouse of a wine, and an excellent example of Hungary's principal red grape.

It has a deep ruby colour and a spicy nose with floral aromas. The palate is savoury with vibrant acidity and a tight tannic structure. You'll find notes of red and black fruits, particularly blackcurrant, complemented by fragrant hints of violets and lavender. This vintage is rich and layered, with significant aging potential.

Food Pairing

Kékfrankos is known for its acidity, making it an excellent match for hearty dishes. It pairs well with steaks, meatloaf, and barbecued meats. For those who prefer vegetables, a rich vegetable stew is a great option. Additionally, it goes nicely with semi-hard cheeses, such as an ash cheese.
